Michal Baratz Koren (1978) is a photographer based in Jaffa, Israel. Her body of work consists of staged and documentary photography drawn from real life stories, addressing the complex clash of identities between motherhood, art history and socio-political events. 

She holds a B.DES with honors from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, from which she continued to the Accademia di Belle Arti Di Brera in Milan, to study photography.

Baratz's work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad including Zemack Contemporary Art (New york, San Francisco and Tel-Aviv), Corridor Contemporary (London and Miami), 1335 Mabini (Manila) and The New Ars Italica gallery (Milan).

She won the Israeli and Italian ministries of foreign affairs scholarship for excellency (2007), and the Sansberg award (2004) for unique achievements in design.

Her works are found at the Eileen S.Kaminsky family foundation, alongside other private collections in Israel and abroad.
